Viz-a-Viz Staff Retreat

I was asked to go and lead the worship for the Viz-a-Viz staff retreat today. It was great to catch up with old colleagues and friends.
The worship songs i choose were quite traditional but for who it was for it worked great. I started with a piece of liturgy which i am going to make my first worship resource:
Do not leave your cares at the door. Do not leave there your pain, your sorrow or your joys. Bring them with you into this place of acceptance and forgiveness.
Enter with me the sacred space.
Bring with you what is yours –
a burdened heart, a joyous song,
a wearied spirit, a seeking mind.
Bring the gift of yourself to the altar.
It is an honorable gift.
Come into this house of worship. Come in bringing all of who you are. Rest and quiet your week-worn spirit, for you are here to touch again eternal springs of hope and renewal.
Calm your hurried pace. Know that you are not alone. There is strength and caring support for you here. You will find comfort if you but ask. Look around. You are a part of potential community. You can make it what you will.
